Evan is an award-winning filmmaker known for his debut feature SUN BELT EXPRESS, starring Tate Donovan and Rachael Harris. The film was a Cine Qua Non lab selection that later took the top prize at the US in Progress sidebar competition of the Champs Elysees Film Festival. It subsequently played over a dozen international festivals taking Filmmaking Honors at Newport Beach & the Grand Prix at Chelsea Film Festival. The film was later licensed by Netflix.
His producing credits include BAND OF ROBBERS (Los Angeles Film Festival) featuring Melissa Benoist and Hannibal Buress, GRANTHAM & ROSE (Cleveland Int’l) starring Tessa Thompson, and RED, WHITE & WASTED which premiered at Tribeca where it was highlighted by the NY Times and Filmmaker Magazine. He most recently Executive Produced CREEP BOX with Witchcraft Motion Picture Company and Carter Smith's SWALLOWED starring Jena Malone with XYZ and eOne. His short films have screened at festivals such as Nantucket Int'l, HBO Latino, DC Shorts, Aspen, Williamsburg Int'l, the SAG Short Film Series, and many more.
Other work includes showrunning and directing the Digiday award winning series The Ride for The Verge which featured guests such as Kumail Nanjiani & Kay Cannon, co-producing the Audible Original Kym with writer/producer Lena Waithe, and Executive Producing the Emmy-Nominated series Some Good News from creator & host John Krasinski which was later acquired by CBS All Access.
Evan currently serves as an EP and Showrunner on the wildly successful, Emmy-award winning travel show Small Town Big Story, produced in partnership with Atlas Obscura, and recently teamed up with Peter Dinklage’s Estuary Films and showrunner Zach Stentz (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, THOR, FRINGE), on a TV adaptation of the acclaimed Books of Babel series, which recently sold to eOne.
